Restaurant General Manager

£80,000.00 Per Annum Plus Bonus, London, UK

We are hiring for our client’s restaurant which is a vibrant, full-service restaurant with an attached bar, delivering high-volume dining and premium guest experiences. This is a key leadership position within a fast-paced environment, ideal for a seasoned operator who excels in driving standards, culture, and commercial performance.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager with a proven background in high-volume establishments. This role oversees all restaurant and bar operations, requiring exceptional leadership, refined service standards, and strong operational discipline.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Maintaining best-in-class trading standards through regular operational audits, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Leading and developing a team of up to 50 employees across restaurant, bar, and host functions in a venue generating over £200k in weekly revenue.

  • Driving all restaurant and floor operations, ensuring exceptional service execution, speed, and consistency.

  • Partnering closely with Marketing, Events, Culinary, and Security teams to maximise revenue, guest satisfaction, and operational cohesion.

  • Overseeing event delivery and managing third-party partners to ensure seamless coordination and profitability.

  • Championing the venue’s brand, actively promoting restaurant concepts and collaborating with the marketing team to increase footfall, guest engagement, and retention.

  • Upholding stringent health and safety, food safety, and compliance standards while creating an unforgettable guest journey.

  • Managing financial performance, including labour control, GP management, forecasting, and reporting directly to the Operations Director.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven leadership experience in a large, high-volume restaurant or multi-outlet venue.

  • Deep understanding of restaurant service, guest flow management, menu execution, and bar operations.

  • Highly organised, process-driven, and confident in implementing operational systems that drive efficiency.

  • A hands-on leader who thrives on the floor, inspires their team, and leads by example during peak service.

  • A strong communicator and relationship-builder, able to engage teams, cultivate guest loyalty, and work cross-functionally.

  • Passionate about food, beverage, and delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.

  • Commercially astute, comfortable analysing P&L performance, and proactive in driving revenue.

  • Hospitality experience is essential; candidates without multi-site or high-volume operational exposure will not be considered
